Laura began her musical journey on season 24 of NBC’s The Voice, where she snagged a four-chair turn during the blind auditions. With her soulful voice and gospel roots, and a passion for honest conversation and ministry, Laura creates a space where people can connect deeply through music and worship.
Laura shares: “Have you ever felt out of place amongst other Christians? Maybe you feel isolated by your doubt and questions. Maybe you don’t feel like you have “as much faith” as your peers. Maybe you struggle with mental health — OCD, anxiety, depression — which makes your walk with Jesus even more difficult. Maybe you’re just tired, and you feel like this whole faith thing is just too hard, too much work. But the truth is, you’re not a “bad Christian” — you’re just HUMAN. And more often than we like to admit, almost all of us feel that way at some point. No matter what your brain tries to tell you — you are NOT alone in the depths of your struggles.”
I’ve spent the last few months wrestling myself, and God has taught me something. He taught me that there is no point where God’s sovereignty ends and the human experience begins — He’s in it ALL. And anything can be Holy Spirit inspired.
So I’ve been writing songs about the rollercoaster that is life here on earth, and I didn’t hold back. From messy heartbreak, to salvation anxiety, religious OCD, church friend breakups, comparison, eating disorders/self-esteem issues, and more… we’re diving in... because Jesus is no stranger to being human.”
The heart of this tour is to meet people where they are at, let them know they are not alone - that they are loved & seen & point them to Jesus. This tour is geared towards High Schoolers, College Age & adults. Contact our office for more info.
